Did you know that a new Producer Group can be subsidised for the first 5 years of its operation?
The European Union’s Common Agricultural Policy supports cooperation between farmers through the Rural Development Programme’s Intervention P3-77-1.1.
Cooperation comes through producer groups and organisations that are subsidised for the first 5 years of operation, as long as they are successful:
- 10% increase in production volume, or
- 10% increase in production value
The subsidy for setting up a Producer Group/Producer Organization is at 10% of the production value in the 1st year and decreasing by 2% each year until the end of the 5 years.
The application details of the Greek Ministry of Rural Development and Food can be found here (PDF – Greek).
