Born in Palamas, Karditsa, he graduated from the School of Agriculture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. With a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation/ IKY he studied on the Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire, Great Britain. After graduating, he was accepted for two years of postgraduate studies at the Centre of Specialties & Research of the University of Naples, Italy, in the Department of Agricultural Economics, where he specialized in Agricultural Economics.
He speaks English and Italian and he is active socially and business-wise.
He runs a Pig Farm in Koskinas, Karditsa, under the name of CHIROPAL Ltd. In 1998 he founded IASON SA (Industrial Slaughterhouses, Meat Processing, Standardization). In 2007 he founded the DITH OE (Dietary Idea of Thessaly) Model Unit for Pork Meat Distribution & Marketing.
In the same year, he founded Geysitehnia LLC, a production unit of Karditsa Traditional Country Sausage.
- He was elected Mayor of Palamas in Karditsa in 1978, then President of the Karditsa TEDK (Local Association of Municipalities) and representative of the Thessalian Region in the KEDKE
- He was appointed representative of the Greek local government at the Council of Europe (Strasbourg)
- He was elected President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Karditsa in 1983
- He was elected Vice-President of the Panhellenic Association of Pork Producers in 1986
- He participated as an expert representing the Panhellenic Pig Farmers' Association in the Pork Price Committee of the European Union in Brussels during the years 1987-2022
- He was elected as Prefect of Magnesia in 1988
- Then transferred as Prefect of Ioannina until 1993
- He was elected President of the Delfax company for the certification of Greek pork in 2001
- He has been representing, for three years in a row (2003-2006), the Federation of Pig Producers of Greece in the Committee of Experts of O.P.E.G.E.P., for the drafting of integrated management standards to ensure pork quality, the AGRO3 series of AGROCERT
- He was appointed member of the Board of Directors of the Innovation Pole of Thessaly in 2005 as a representative of the private sector
- He was elected Vice President of ESEK in 2010 (Energy Community of Karditsa)
- He was elected President of the Karditsa Food and Beverage Network in 2011
- He served as Secretary General of EDOK (National Interprofessional Meat Organisation)
- He was elected Vice President of the Hellenic Livestock Association (SEK) a position he holds to date.
- He has participated in World Conferences in his field in Moscow, Tel Aviv, Philadelphia (USA), Pennsylvania (USA), Madrid, Thailand.
