European Projects

Our participation in European projects mainly aims at supporting our vision and mission for a more sustainable and competitive domestic primary sector, based on knowledge, innovation, entrepreneurship and cooperation.

Within this framework, we take part in important European joint venture projects that are related to research and innovation (Horizon 2020 programme), environmental protection and tackling climate change (LIFE programme), education and training (ERASMUS+ programme).

Our involvement in European projects is not limited only to our participation in major consortia for a long number of years. Since October 2020, we have been playing a leading role, as coordinators, in a consortium consisting of 34 EU members (agricultural-cooperatives, agri-food sector companies, IT companies, universities, institutions, etc.) with regard to the implementation of the emblematic ‘PLOUTOS-Data-driven sustainable agri-food value chains’ project.
